Liv.Able Showroom
In High Point, N.C., "Furniture Capital of the World", the new Liv.Able showroom displays collections of entry to the upper-end segment home furnishings.
The 77,000 sq. ft. facility features a modified Coral Stone Rendering on the project. The rendering utilized two textured acrylic finishes to create the look of cut coral. The first application is Finestone Rough Swirl followed by a second application of Finetex finish. Specially engineered scaffolding was created to accommodate the compound curving at the top of the 30 ft. wide x 65-70 ft. high panels. Additionally, the project was designed with no aesthetic or working joints.
The bold design incorporates literal "design flexibility", as it’s curved, monolithic walls twist into the soaring sky. The Pebbletex CI-DCA system installed provides the drainage specified, as well as energy efficiency beyond most other claddings. The cut coral rendered finish creates a high-end aesthetic that is unrivaled by any furniture showroom in North America.
The building project was recognized with the 2018 Hero of the Year Award by
EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA).
