A Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel, Bellyard at Interlock, is derived from the original name of West Midtown (Bellwood) and the areas stockyard history. The hotel’s design features stockyard and railroad-type elements reminiscent of the areas past. The building exterior uses Finestone’s latest innovation, Pebbletex CI-DCA with MaxGrip Veneer Mortar to achieve the thin brick veneer over continuous insulation and Finestop air/water-resistive barrier. The system does not require mechanical fasteners, which reduces damage to the underlying heat, air and moisture control layers.
The project was recognized with an Award of Merit in the Hospitality category during the 2022 EIFS Architectural Awards, presented by EIFS Industry Members Association (EIMA).
